The Gilded Hoverfly Studs are perfect for those who want an unusual design but whose aesthetic is a little more subtle than the Gilded Scarab Beetle. This piece consists of a life-sized hoverfly cast in Sterling Silver, highlighted with gold plating on the highly detailed wings, set with black diamond eyes.

This piece is designed in London, handcrafted using traditional lost wax casting, and hallmarked by the London Assay Office. 

MATERIALS & CARE

These earrings come in oxidised Sterling Silver with vermeil details. If you would prefer polished silver, or any other metal, get in touch at .

Solid Sterling Silver can become tarnished over time, if this happens the most simple way to restore the necklace is to use a polishing cloth. I do not recommend Silver Dip on oxidised pieces as this will remove the oxidation. The 24ct gold plating is three microns thick but over time it may begin to fade with wear and it should not be polished too often. ake care using a polishing cloth on the chain as fibres may become caught and pulling the chain repetitively may weaken it. Always remove your jewellery for sports or when using harsh chemicals. Please read my to ensure it lasts for many years.
